How do you get people to buy what you’re selling? Advertisements, of course. In order to get attention, some advertisements will be provocative, stretch the truth, and tell complete lies. There have been some major offenders in the past, and here are just a few examples of advertisements that just aren’t kosher.
Oh boy…
Kids must have been really excited to get a toothache back in the day.
Nothing says “smoke if you got ’em” like a baby’s adorable face.
Nothing strengthens the bond between a mother and child like a couple ice-cold brews.
This one isn’t that outlandish except for the clothes…the horror…the horror!
Some ads use hyperbole to get attention. This one goes a little too far.
I saw this one and threw-up a little bit.
