I’ve been eating super easy just almonds pecans rosemary thyme a little bit of coconut oil and some salt you just bake them in the oven for about ten minutes and then you can just serve them hot or let them cool it’s super super easy and it’s a great low carb appetizer and bursting with flavor I love that Rose Mary and Marlow you were saying this would be great to take as a last minute gift because we’re all so overloaded with sugar during the holidays this is a healthy option yes and a half of my family members are on the keto diet so I always like to bring something that they can also eat and enjoy and it’s not gonna completely derail their healthy habits that they have going on and you’re obviously practicing what you preach because trying to absolutely I love those those are delicious now what is this so these are quinoa broccoli cheddar bites and they’re kind of a take on your old you know rice casserole that your mom used to make super easy to make you make your quinoa chop your onions chop your broccoli two eggs a little bit of cheddar cheese mix them in and then you’re gonna bake them in the oven for 15 minutes anything with quinoa I’m in yes and I love these these are so easy and they’re healthy great like after-school snacks for kids and that sort of thing so I love to take these people are always like really surprised about the flavor oh those are delicious and you just save them in the fridge like how do you store them yes you can storm in the fridge in like an airtight container and then whenever you want to eat them you just open it up stick them in the microwave and reheat that oh that’s good they’re good even cold good good so next up we have our kale pomegranate and avocado salad but y’all are actually going to help me prepare some of this so Derrick if you will work on cutting the avocado and the pears oh you trust me and then you will help me with all of the dressing ingredients that we have Lezama vinegar is gonna toss some yes ma’am and then you’ll just mix together by cutting all this by the way no you can just cut like half of one get that pit out dirt oh the pit yeah let’s see if I can do it depends on how good job and then for this we’re using a little bit of garlic salt pepper and Dijon mustard okay just any Dijon yes ma’am and then mix them together and then we’re gonna pour that over our salad I’m also gonna go ahead and add the pistachios and you can add any nut but I think pistachios are so unexpected and people don’t use them a lot in a salad so that’s a good option and then just sort pomegranate seeds as well well and they’re pretty this time of year combine it with the pomegranate and you just got instant holidays alright gonna dress it on there that looks awesome did you say I’m cutting the pear – too late already okay excellent and then about how much parent avocado Marla are we adding so it depends on how many people you’re serving but if it’s just one or two people I would just do half and then what’s so great is if you leave the pit in your avocado put like a wet paper towel over it and a little bit of foil you can actually save the other half of the avocado it’s amazing how that works I don’t understand the chemistry but it does prevent it from turning brown right look at you go we’re coming to your house for dinner I know it’s I used to cook Wow oh dear see I’m dropping stuff all right it looks great does you know it’s not too bad and your avocados somehow Marla these are ripe to perfection and then we’ll just mix it together and serve it so y’all don’t want to taste-test it for me absolutely hey baby you know pomegranates yeah well and it really is a nice change too because I think that again during the holidays a lot of people will default to like sugary snacks the desserts the high fattening foods imagining the January and the resolutions are just around the corner or even like a Caesar salad or something like that it’s not super healthy so this is kind of you
