NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has heard the appeals from New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis, head coach coach Sean Payton and assistant coach Joe Vitt.
Unfortunately for them, no changes will be made to their suspensions.
Sean Payton’s suspension without pay for the 2012 NFL season will begin on April 16.

At end of suspensions, Commissioner will review status of each of the three individuals to determine their eligibility for reinstatement.

Twitter reacts to the not-so-surprising news.
Lmao,..Sean Payton's appeal was bout as successful ass Boosie's

I say this with all seriousness: The league will miss Sean Payton's offensive mind. He is one of the best.

I hope that other coaches will learn from Sean Payton's failure. It's bad enough he allowed what happened but he made it worse by appealing

I would have been very disappointed if Sean Payton's disciplinary action was changed. glad it's staying the same
— Dom Ham (@domgham) April 9, 2012
the fact the appeals process in Saints case was determined by the same person who handed down the penalties is completely unjust
— Jay Feely (@jayfeely) April 9, 2012
Saints must decide on a new coach before 16th April now that Payton's suspension has been upheld. That sound is Bill Parcells' phone ringing
— Henry Hodgson (@nflukhank) April 9, 2012
so essentially, the appeal process bought Sean Payton and the Saints 16 days to try and figure out what to do for the season.
