a special visitors coming to Milton this weekend and we’ve got all the details let’s check it out Milton and I love sharing the things that I love about Milton with all of you this weekend a special guest is coming to Milton and I’ve got the inside scoop I was able to speak I’m here with Tyson her whinin and he is the treasurer and also in charge of bands and attractions for the Milton Santa Claus Parade for this year 2019 and he’s gonna let us in on some secrets and exciting things that are happening with this year’s Milton Santa Claus Parade so thank you so much for being with me today really great um so how many floats and everything are there gonna be in this year’s that Milton Santa Hot Springs so for this year we got over 60 entries for floats we also have over 11 bands and attractions so which is the if you combine the floats and the bands together that makes it the largest Milton Santa Claus parade has ever been put on so it’s very exciting we’ve got a lot of entries from all parts of the community businesses local groups and even schools oh wow that’s going to be amazing so it’s one of the biggest parades that Milton’s ever had it’s gonna be the biggest and best one yet yeah that’s awesome sir anything like that Milt onehans should know when they’re coming to the Santa Claus Parade is there anything that they should bring with them yeah there’s always three things I always recommend people who come to the parade first is any food donations as the Milton transit team will be stuffing the a bus or food for the Salvation Army so make sure you bring some non-perishable food to the parade as they’ll be there collecting as well Canada Post will be there for all the kids listening so make sure you have your letters ready for Santa as they will be collecting it and making sure they hand-deliver it to Santa himself and also we have a bucket brigade as the Santa Claus Parade is a nonprofit organization that’s slowly funded through sponsorships and donations through the community so we’ll be there collecting so if you could spare a few dollars we would more than welcome it because it we do need the funds to make the parade happen each year okay and that’s the thing like it is run by volunteers there’s a volunteer committee so we’re so thankful that you and the other committee members like get together and put this together for for the town of Milton I think it’s one of the one of the biggest events that happens in Milton each year yeah definitely there’s over like thirty thousand people on parade a that come in to watch the parade and our community consists of over ten people right now and it’s always growing and we’re always looking for more community members so it’s definitely a project that takes all year long to plan which is crazy because as soon as we finished ending it next week we’re planning the next one which is crazy to think summer you’re planning Santa Claus yeah well it’s such a big event right exactly that’s awesome and then there’s apparently like a surprise honorary parade Marshall this year we were actually fortunate enough after six years of trying to get him into our parade a Chris Hatfield who’s been all the way up in our space station is actually gonna be in our parade leading at the parade so very exciting that’s make sure you look out for him at the start of the brain oh yeah that’s awesome so we’ve got the weather definitely is cooperating for Santa and chris hadfield it’s gonna be an awesome parade this year yes definitely one of the best all right thank you so much for for sharing all that information with us and we’ll see everybody at the parade on Sunday thank you the 2019 milton santa claus parade starts at 1:30 on sunday november 17th the parade route begins at Main Street West and Whitmer at 1:30 and continues all the way to the Milton see you on Sunday I hope that you enjoyed this video I got an amazing line of different things that we’re gonna be showcasing over the holiday season and I can’t wait for you to see them so if you haven’t yet make sure that you give the subscribe button below or give us a follow so you don’t miss out on any of the great things happening in Milton see you next week
