Caitlyn Jenner misgenders herself in interview on Ricky Gervais
As we told you, Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais took a little heat on Sunday for making a joke about Caitlyn Jenner and women drivers. Since Gervais offends everyone, we really didn’t see what was such a big deal.
Gervais ended up defending the joke on Twitter, saying:
Caitlyn Jenner, however, didn’t think it was very funny:
Jenner told reporters:
On Ricky, Ithink what Im gonna do is call the Golden Globesand see if they need a new host for next year, Jenner said at the Television Critics Tour in Pasadena, California. And well solve that problem.
But then said when asked what it’s like to be labeled a spokesperson for the trans community:
Im only a spokesman for me and my story, she said. I have so much to learn in this community.
Back up a second. Jenner said “spokesman“? She misgendered herself! Imagine if Gervais had done that:
Gervais wasn’t done. He used EW’s “brakes her silence” headline to make another joke about Jenner’s driving:
