San Bernardino police report ‘suspect down’
At a press conference given just before 6:30 p.m. Eastern, law enforcement reported that there was an “active scene” and a “suspect down” less than two miles from the social services facility, an apparent reference to helicopter video of a dark SUV that had been the subject of a firefight with police officers.
Police said that an officer was injured by a ricochet but will be OK. Along with the subject on the ground outside the SUV, anothersuspectstillinside the vehicleisreported to be dead or at least incapacitated.
Maybe not: Some are reporting that another suspect has barricaded himself inside a home or a church.
