Woke Bill Kristol rains on corporate bonuses, is bitten by old tweet
We’ve heard plenty of Democrats and liberal pundits try to spin corporate bonuses as a bad thing, and frankly, it’s not that surprising to find The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol jumping on the train too.
Don’t the $1000 bonuses suggest the big corporations didn’t really need a tax cut for capital investment? If they’re so flush with cash perhaps they didn’t need a tax cut at all? And if we just want to borrow from the future to give out money today, why the corporate middle man?
