COMIC BOOK PRINT COUNT EP.5! New Gods, Punisher, Thanos, Infinity Gauntlet

there was a little bit of delays guys and like I explained there was just a conflict the schedule I have my schedule all over the place right now so I know everybody out there understands and I still appreciate you guys a ton and let’s get started with today’s show because we do have some great books that I want to go over and we’ll start off with the first one right here right off the Jump and we’re talking about the countdown special New Gods issue number one so as you guys can see this has a nice small print count of 10 149 copies that is right folks so we’re looking at probably a little bit under 10k give or take folks because you don’t know how many of these were ruined you don’t know how many are the garbage we don’t know exactly the print count but this was the exact print count of how many units were ordered of this specific book so we always have to do the give and take to anywhere from three percent to five percent and yeah we’re down to the 10K marker so what was awesome about this guys is for anybody that does not know I always had a special place in my heart for these uh for this said book for these countdown specials and the reason being guys is because that said book right there to include many other countdown specials that you definitely want to be on the lookout for is that they actually grabbed the Original Stories and made them modern I really appreciate that DC actually went to that extent and was like you know what these stories from back in the 60s and 70s are not going to fit well at the time when this book came out which was in the early 2000s so let’s go ahead and amp it up let’s change things up so it makes it so that people people stay in touch and I thought that that was such a bright idea from DC Comics so shout out to DC Comics again be on the lookout for countdown special number one New Gods and there are many other countdown specials that you definitely might pique your interest now let’s keep it moving guys and we’re going to move on to another one because I know everybody loves themselves a little Frank Castle your boy loves a little Frank Castle himself pause but we are going to be talking about one specific book that I don’t think it’s enough recognition and that is this book right here we’re talking about Punisher 17 folks which came out back in late 1990s and with that being said guys there’s only 27 720 copies of this book for anybody that does not know why this book is so awesome is because they actually went and paid homage to the death of Superman you guys know that the whole shebang that happened with The Death of Superman everybody was paying was paying attention mentioned everybody was paying their homage to Superman being that titular character that pretty much opened up the floodgates for every superhero both in Marvel DC and all across the board so this is a great one to be on the lookout for you will definitely find it in backbends make sure you check out for them but once people start recognizing this book and they start saying hey man I love myself a little Death of Superman I definitely want to pick this book up so be on the lookout for that one moving on from that guys then we move on to the third book of today and the third book of today is a book that I will personally tell you is a tough one to find I have had a hard hard time finding this out in the wild and we’re talking about Thanos Quest issue number one this is a solo one shot guys what happened with this book guys is that they’ve reprinted a compilation of Thanos quest one and two there is only 12 561 copies that were ordered so we’re possibly looking at a little bit of 12K or maybe under that are in existence out there yes that makes this a scarcity um and again these are books that yeah a lot of people don’t know about a lot of people seem to be like man this is my first time finding out about this but if you already know about these books man then kudos to you because you’re doing your homework this book right here again great great book there was a little issue with this set book so don’t freaking frown when you find a book with like all these waves and wrinkles all over them this was a Prestige format sort of type of book So for anybody that doesn’t know what a Prestige format book is and you’re brand new to Comics folks all it really is is a little bit of a thicker book you guys seen how trade paperbacks are you guys have seen all that different stuff so that pretty much is what that book is when we talk about Prestige format so again if you are looking for this book just look for a thicker book this was I think was a price tag of 3.99 at the time when this had come out but again great book if you ever want to read about Thanos Quest and you had no idea what Thanos Quest was about or anything of that nature again if you want to look out for this book because of the scarcity on this one great book and who doesn’t love themselves a little Thanos everybody knows what Josh Brolin shout out to Josh Brolin what he brought to the table for the MCU with all the end game stuff and everything related to Thanos it was awesome everybody loved it and I think we all still remember that more than anything that is currently happening now let’s move on to the last and final book of today no trade paperbacks on today’s list on the countdown folks unfortunately but we do have one book that I always always always have a place in my heart for everybody you guys have heard me talk about this on Plenty of occasions everybody’s always talking about diversity and inclusion in the MCU DCU well look no further folks this is why I am so passionate why I get so upset about all the race swapping and all that stuff that happens within the MCU and the DCU let’s be honest this happened there too my biggest thing out of all of this folks is the fact that there are so many great characters of color so many superheroes of color that deserve notoriety that deserve attention and this family right here definitely deserves it I hope that Kevin feige opens up his eyes put some bifocals on whatever it takes him to do I don’t care if I gotta message this man to death but one of this family that is out there guys is none other than that’s right the bakion family the bakion family being the first black Nova Corps Ranger family in Marvel and they make their first appearance in The Infinity Gauntlet number one so everybody might be thinking like bro throw always what the heck is wrong with you there this this thing is crazy printed yes it was it was a hundred and one thousand nine hundred and forty nine copies of this book but again we don’t know how many damages how many damage books there were how many books are in the garbage how many books were disposed of whatever words you want to use that we don’t know but again you could probably look at this possibly being at a hundred thousand or or just a little under than that so my biggest thing out of all of this guys this was such a great story and just to give you a heads up guys when I looked at the print counts for issues two issue three Issue four they took a dramatic dramatic drop which issue two when I saw a drop down to around the 60 000 marker after that when you’re going to three issue three Issue four you start looking about the 40 000 range so you see the dramatic drop off and none of nonetheless this book was freaking amazing I love the fact that Dustin Weaver just killed it on this did an amazing amazing job of the story and introduced us to a family of color that is right within the pages the guts of a Marvel comic So for anybody that does not know who I’m talking about you guys know I do my homework all the time I’m going to show you a little bit of the guts of the book right here and you see the bakkie and family to include their dog that’s right even the dog is a novocore ranger that is the beauty of this so of course in this one it is the first appearance of the bakion clan you have and win bakion that you see right there over to the left she is the oldest daughter of the bakion family then you have zigzag then you have menzen bakion then you have Fein bakion then you have and win and feign’s grandfather who also makes an appearance in there and unfortunately dies in the pages of the comic books sorry guys spoiler and of course you have Eve bakion that is the mom the mom is the one who is actually the first one to come out in costume in gear in whatever you want to call it guys that is the beauty of this but why am I bringing this book up once again guys it’s not only because we’re talking about this it is also because we are going to jump into the variant and that variant is a beauty I can personally go ahead in the test and say this thing looks so much better even in person I own the copies of this book I have forever been picking up this book and for anybody that is wondering which book I’m talking about yes we are talking about that one in 25 Addie Grant off variant with an estimated print count that’s right of 4077 copies making this set variant a nice little scarce one So for anybody brand new to comic books guys when you have a ratio variant that says one out of 25 that means for every 25 copies that have been ordered of this said book which we’re gonna go right back into it Infinity Gauntlet number one you get one copy of this Addie granoff so when we go ahead and do the math that’s right I’m pulling out the calculator baby it comes out to 4077 copies that are out there in existence so we can roughly go ahead and guesstimate that there probably might be a little bit maybe close to 4K or just a little under of this out there in the wild if you do not own a copy I highly recommend it because at some point or another yes this family might end up showing up in the MCU great spec book A book that I have forever collected and again do not do not frown upon this one guys this is still a great book to pick up there’s also a second printing of that book that is really really tough to find if you do happen to find it you actually have the whole bakion clan on the cover No Mess no Nova core helmets on or nothing they’re just chilling there they have a black background um and it’s beautiful beautiful little book so if you could find that one as well definitely definitely recommend if you you guys if
